Generosity, or “Dana” in the ancient Pali language, is a foundational practice of Buddhism.
In keeping with these traditions, the BIPOC Sangha embraces an organizational model rooted in generosity and "gift-based economics". This approach means that we offer our events free to the community with no set fees for participation.
Instead, we depend on the open-hearted contributions of our community. Attendees are invited to offer a voluntary gift during registration or at the event itself, based on their ability and desire to give.
Teachings are given freely at SBMG, without charge, as our visiting teachers rely on the dana of our voluntary donations. Similarly, SBMG relies on both donations and service. All donations to SBMG/s BIPOC Sangha, a 501c3 non-profit organization, are tax deductible. To offer your service as dana, please see Get Involved.
*Please Note: If donating via the link below, please select "One time gift" and, when prompted to leave a note, write "dana for BIPOC Sangha."
